Catskill Rose Lodging & Dining

This was my first time in the Catskills. After calling several venues, I picked this business, strictly based on the close location to a wedding I was attending, the photos on the website, and the conversation I had with Peter when I made the reservation. I was NOT disappointed. So unusual to show up and the room actually looked like the photos! But the service is what impressed me the most. I could write a book about our positive experience. The food, the room, the pool, the beautiful gardens, and homemade treats left for us truly exceeded my expectations. The price was amazing. And so close to everything we wanted to experience. But the service is what makes this place outstanding!

Nice clean rooms. Snacks, robes, comfy beds.Peter and Rose are top notch chefs serving superb dishes. This will be our place from now when visiting Woodstock and Phoenicia. Would love to come in the summer.

My wife and I, spent the Labor Day weekend. We got there on Thursday evening and stayed until Sunday. The rooms were very clean, the place is just beautiful. The swimming pool was so much fun. The food and drinks were amazing. Peter the owner is the most attentive host and waiter and bartender. He also is the most kind and humble person I have met. He make’s this place so special. We had a great weekend and will be back soon on winter.

We had a beautiful dinner at the Catskill Rose on Friday night on the patio. The atmosphere is wonderful and you are surrounded by gorgeous gardens full of flowers and trees. Peter and Rose cook up amazing food!!! The appetizers, main course and desserts are amazing! Everything is so flavourful and beautifully presented! Our favourite was the miso ravioli! Lots of options for vegetarians! Very reasonable prices and great friendly service!! We are definitely coming back to eat there soon!!

Not fancy, but everything you could want and more. The room was clean with a mini-fridge with fresh baked delicious muffins and scones, fresh squeezed orange juice, milk, and a coffeemaker, multiple types of teas and what to me was most thoughtful was plugs on both sides of the bed for both electric cords as well as power cords. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

My family dines at this excellent venue about once a week. There are so many fine restaurants to choose from in this area but we keep going back. The high quality food is prepared and orchestrated meticulously and is so delicious that every bite is a treat. From the delicious bread and soups to the fabulous appetizers and entrees to the amazing desserts Catskill Rose delivers gustatory nirvana. The lighting and ambiance of the place is so peaceful and welcoming and the service is attentive and charming.. I couldn't recommend this place any higher.

We had a lovely dinner in the garden, where every plate hit it out of the park. I especially enjoyed the lamb meatballs, the smoked duck and the butter beans. Service was friendly and surprisingly quick. The setting was very pretty. We had an early dinner and had the place to ourselves. Would definitely return here.

We loved our stay here. The room was spotless, cozy and very comfortable. It was also thoughtfully stocked with all amenities you might need. I’ve never seen a cleaner hotel. The flowers and mountain views were beautiful. It had a very cozy, quaint feel. Great location close by Phoenicia Diner, Rail Explorers & more. Can’t wait to visit again!
